A 200-video call is charged per video, not per call — the saving is in rate limits and round trips.
A job that returns no_captions or schema_invalid is never charged.

Buy credits when you need them at $0.0012 each, no monthly commitment. Same API, same limits as Starter.
Credits bought this way sit on the account until they are used, with no expiry. The smallest pack is 10,000 credits. Switch to a plan whenever the monthly rate beats the list price.

On a paid plan, jobs keep running for up to a quarter of your monthly allowance past zero, so a batch doesn’t stop halfway. That overdraft comes out of your next cycle’s credits. Past it, or on the free tier, the API returns insufficient_credits until you top up. Set a hard cap in the dashboard to stop at a balance of your choosing instead.
No. Plan credits and pay-as-you-go credits both stay on the account, and a new cycle’s allowance is added on top of whatever is left.
New accounts get 1,000 credits to spend on real videos. No card, no expiry, same endpoints.
An upgrade takes effect immediately: you pay the prorated difference and get the matching share of the bigger allowance straight away. A downgrade, or a move from annual to monthly, takes effect at your next renewal. Cancellation also takes effect at renewal, and any credits you already paid for stay usable.
